Charles J. Koller, M.D., F.A.C.S.

Dr. Koller is a skilled general and laparoscopic surgeon with almost 18 years of private practice experience. Dr. Koller performs laparoscopic, robotic and minimally invasive surgery and has a broad-based general surgery practice, managing everything from complex abdominal surgical problems to skin cancer management and soft tissue reconstruction. Dr. Koller is a longstanding fellow of the American College of Surgeons and holds membership in the Florida chapter of the ACS and Florida Committee on Trauma. Dr. Koller began his education at the University of Florida, earning a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Science. He then went on to earn a Doctorate in Medicine from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine in 1989. Dr. Koller began his post-graduate residency training at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami and subsequently did some fellowship work in plastic surgery and surgical critical care and trauma. He is double Boarded, holding Board certification in Surgery and Surgical Critical Care. Dr. Koller believes in the way medicine and surgery used to be practiced, developing relationships with his patients based on compassion and mutual respect. In practice since 1996, he knows the anxiety that seeing a surgeon can produce and does what it takes to make patients feel comfortable and cared for. Dr. Koller believes good judgment, consistent, well thought out care plans and excellent surgical skill are the keys to a successful operation. Dr. Koller guarantees all three.

Courtney Thompson PA-C

Courtney was raised in St. Petersburg, Florida and attended Osceola Fundamental High School where she was vice-president of the National Honor Society and manager of the wrestling team. Courtney then went on to the University of South Florida where she graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in May 2015. Both during and after college, Courtney worked as a certified Histotechnologist in pathology, helping to put herself through school. Courtney then went on to attend the Physician Assistant program at Nova Southeastern University, Orlando Campus, where she graduated with highest honors, earning a Master of Medical Science in August 2018. While attending Nova, Courtney was inducted into Alpha Eta National Honor Society for Allied Health Professionals and is a standing Member of American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA). Courtney has had a passion for surgery since being introduced to the discipline while in PA school. She has been part of Winter Park Surgical Associates and the Winter Park Hernia Center since 2018.
